KF150DM VS COMMERICAL BLASTER FOR LOG HOME

Postby kcaver » Wed Jan 27, 2010 6:15 am

I want to use glass media to remove the stain from my log home. I have read so many different things and now I am confused on what to purchase. I want to get the KF150DM, but will it be strong enough for this project vs the say Kernel blasters? corn cob vs glass media? I just don't Know?

For the most part, pressure is pressure and media is media. If you compare blasting the same media at the same pressure regardless of the equipment you are using, you will get very similar results. The primary differences between various pressure pots is the size of the pot, the shape and size of the nozzle (which determines the blast pattern and strip rate) and the durability of the hoses and connections.

Both Corn Cob Grit and Crushed Glass Grit are used on log homes. The Corn Cob Grit is more forgiving as it will have a reduced chance of etching the logs. Crushed Glass Grit will typically strip more quickly.
