In a previous post, I explained the difference between CFM (cubic feet per minute) and PSI (pounds per square inch) as it relates to abrasive blasting. CFM is a measure of the volume of air that is needed to move the media through the system. PSI is the force that the media is discharged from the system. It is important to understand the differences when balancing the system you are using and the necessary compressor or air supply.
