walnut shells to clean a jet engine?

Postby greg » Mon Jul 12, 2004 9:33 am

I was told to use crushed walnut shells to clean A J60 jet engine being used on a dragster.

Anybody have info on this?

Thanks, Greg

A medium or fine grit walnut shell will do an excellent job at blasting away a variety of contaminants without warping or damaging the metal.
